Notes:

1. The others category includes banking, insurance, health care, mining, electricity generation and distribution, water supply, fuel supply, social services, etc.

2. The data source above sub-classifies industry into manufacturing and non-manufacturing. Mining, electricity/gas/water supply and construction are included under non-manufacturing industry.

3. The total employment across various economic sectors for the % in this pie chart was 460.18 million people in 2010, according to the data source above. The largest gain in net new employment, from 2005 to 2010, was in India's construction sector.
