File:Coney IslandStillwell.JPG
Summary
Main entrance of the Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue station on Coney Island. This station has been built in 1919 as a terminal of four Dual-Contract lines and was totally rebuilt between 2001 and 2005. Although this facade is completely different from the original construction, it features two essential historical facts: Until 1940, this station exclusively saw BMT service, the logo of which company is still shown above the entrance, and the stylized tower and the lighting along the windows remind of the long-gone Coney Island amusement resort, which once gave reason to erect this massive complex.
