Kidnap is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Luis Prieto and written by Knate Gwaltney. The film stars Halle Berry, Sage Correa, Lew Temple and Chris McGinn. The film is about a mother who tries to find her abducted son. The film's development began in June 2009 and filming began on October 27, 2014 in New Orleans. Relativity Media will release the film on December 2, 2016 in the United States.[1]

A child gets kidnapped and a mother is not stopping until she finds him.

Production
The principal photography on the film began on October 27, 2014, in New Orleans, Louisiana.[2] [3] In mid-November, filming was also taken place in Slidell.[4] Filming would end December 7, 2014.[4]
Release
The film was previously scheduled to release on October 9, 2015,[5] but in July 2015 Relativity pushed back the film to February 26, 2016, because the company was facing financial crisis.[6] Before being re-scheduled to May 13, 2016.[7] On March 14, 2016, it was revealed that Kidnap would be the first post-bankruptcy film which uses August 16, 2016 as a new release date, pushing The Disappointments Room and Before I Wake off the release schedule.[8] Before I Wake will be released on September 9, 2016, while The Disappointments Room will be released on November 18, 2016.
