Ubisoft Halifax, formerly known as Longtail Studios is a video game developer started by Gérard Guillemot, one of the co-founders of Ubisoft. Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia- Canada, Longtail Studios has developed video games including Rocksmith and Dance on Broadway.[1] The studio was acquired by Ubisoft in October 2015.

Longtail Studios' published games include MotionSports Adrenaline for Xbox 360 Kinect and PlayStation Move, Dance on Broadway for Wii, and PlayStation 3 Move. Sprung, Grey's Anatomy: The Video Game, Imagine: Sweet 16 and Dance on Broadway. Its mobile games include TNA Wrestling, a professional wrestling video game for iOS. As of June 2012, the company is currently developing "Sports Connection", a Wii U launch title to be published by Ubisoft. The studio later worked on Rocksmith 2014.

Longtail's division in Quebec was acquired by Ubisoft in 2010,[2] and the entire company acquired by it on October 14, 2015. Its focus would be shifted to developing AAA video games for mobile phones.[3] The studio was renamed to Ubisoft Halifax.[4]
