Southwest Medical University is situated in luzhou city, Sichuan province,china . This School was founded In 1951, formerly known as Southwest Southern sichuan medical school. In 1959,it was upgraded and renamed luzhou medical vacational school. In 1978, it was upgraded and renamed Luzhou Medical college. In 2015, it was upgraded and renamed Sichuan Medical University. In 2016, the school changed its name to Southwest Medical university
