The 2016 Baylor Bears football team will represent Baylor University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bears will be coached by interim head coach Jim Grobe, playing their 118th football season. This year is the team's third season in McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The Bears are members of the Big 12 Conference.

On May 26, 2016 Baylor fired head coach Art Briles as a result of the Baylor Sexual Abuse Scandal.
