4478 Blanco (1984 HG1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on April 23, 1984 by Walter Ferreri and Vincenzo Zappalà at La Silla. Named in honor of Carlo Blanco, Professor of Astronomy at the University of Catania.[1]
