Abby Lakew

Abby Lakew is an Ethiopian singer and actress.

Lakew was born in Gondar, Ethiopia.[1][2]

She moved to the US when she was 13, and went to high school in Dallas, Texas.[2] Lakew sings in Amharic and English.[3]

Lakew has been nominated for Best Traditional Female Artist for Africa at the 2016 Kora All-Africa Music Awards to be held on 20 March 2016.[4]
