Ali Bahar
Ali Bahar (born 1960 - 3 July 2011) was a Bahraini singer, guitarist and organ player known for his music band Al Ekhwa (Arabic translation: The Brothers) . He was nicknamed the "Bob Marley of the Gulf"[1] and has been called as being "the most popular musician in Bahrain's history".[2] He sang and performed in national concerts and multiple international music festivals.

Biography
Ali rose to celebrity in Muharraq, Bahrain's second largest city, where his father was a seaman. He also lived in Sharjah where he has several friends and supporters.[1]
His music band, Al Ekhwa which he formed in 1986 helped boost his popularity. He was the lead singer, guitar and organ player in the band.[2]
Death
Ali was admitted to the Salmaniya Medical Complex in Manama, on June 30th, 2011, after suffering from shortness of breath. On the 3rd of July, he died of kidney failure, caused by pneumonia at 11am.[2]
