Muhammad Ali Safina (born 18 December 1983) is a VJ-turned Pakistani actor. He is famous for his comedy acting and has hosted many shows rendering him a popular local hero. He started off his career DJing at a local radio station in Glasgow, Scotland while stuyding and later on by starring in sitcoms in his homeland of Pakistan such as Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat among others. He is currently acting in a sitcom by ARY Digital and plans are for him to be cast in an upcoming movie Jalaibee.[1] He is the owner of FM 96.[2] He and Hira Tareen became engaged on April 25, 2013.[3] He is the elder brother of the renowned Philanthropist and famous cynic, Waleed Khan.

Personal life

Ali Safina was born in Multan[citation needed], Pakistan then he moved to Oman[citation needed] with his parents where he completed his schooling In Pakistan School Muscat[citation needed]; for higher education he started off in The Caledonian College of Engineering in Oman and went on to Scotland where he got a degree in mechanical engineering[citation needed]. He returned home to his family hoping to continue his studies by pursuing a master's degree[citation needed]. It was then Ali realized that he was at a crossroads[citation needed]. He promptly diverted his career to show business.[4] He is married to Pakistani model Hira Tareen[citation needed]

Career

He started his career as a DJ, VJ and roles in drama serials like Daag e nadamat, Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat where he achieved real fame. He followed it up with funny talk shows as a host (Hunn Dass).[4] Safina made his film debut in 2014 in a caper-crime film Jalaibee in which he played main role as Bugga opposite to Danish Taimoor and Wiqar Ali Khan.[5]
