Belagali (Kannada: ಬೆಳಗಲಿ ) is a panchayat village[1][2] in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[3][4] It is located in the Mudhol taluka of Bagalkot district in Karnataka, about 4 km east of the town of Mahalingpur.

There are two villages in the Belagali Gram Panchayat: Belagali and Mahalingapur (Rural).[2]

Amruteshwrara Temple

Belagali is famous for the Amruteshwrara Temple built during the Chalukyan empire. and it is birthplace of great poet ranna.Rann Belagali.

Demographics

In the 2001 India census, Belagali had a population of 15,041, with 7,582 males and 7,459 females.[3]

In the 2011 census, the population of Belagali was reported as 17,175.[5]
