William Alex Radovich (b. June 24, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois - d. March 6, 2002 in Newport Beach, California) is a former American football guard and "tough guy" on film. Also, he is the first NFL player to take the league to court.

Radovich, who never married, is survived by a brother, Walt, and a sister, Gloria Kaye Clinton, both of Palm Springs.

Funeral services were held at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in San Gabriel.

Films

When he left his football career behind him he went to play "tough-guy" roles on film. He is best remembered as Moose McCall in "Trouble Along the Way", Ogeechuch in "The World in His Arms", Eunuch in "The Golden Blade", Lagi in "Back to God's Country", Hassan in "Against All Flags", and many other tough character roles.

Pro career

Radovich played five seasons in the National Football League with the Detroit Lions. He was named All-Pro twice. He finished his career in the All-America Football Conference with the Los Angeles Dons.

College career

Radovich played college football at the University of Southern California.
