Eponym George P. Bond, an American astronomer (1825-1865)

Bond Crater is a crater in the Argyre quadrangle on Mars, located at 33.2° south latitude and 36° west longitude. It is 110.6 km in diameter and was named after George P. Bond, an American astronomer (1825–1865).[1]
