César Miguel Valdez (born March 17, 1985 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Houston Astros organization. In 2010 he played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Playing career

Arizona Diamondbacks

He was called up to the majors on May 3, 2010 by the Arizona Diamondbacks and made his debut on the same day. He was designated for assignment on September 13.[1]

Pittsburgh Pirates

After the 2010 season, Valdez was acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates as the player to be named later in the trade for Zach Duke.[2]

Florida Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays

Valdez was traded to the Florida Marlins for a player to be named later or cash considerations on July 5, 2011.[3] He was later traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for future considerations. He was released soon after he joined the organization.[4]

Houston Astros

He was signed and invited to spring training in 2016.
