Recent and Future Expansion

The museum expanded in 2013 when it added the Texas Flying Legends Hangar. In a cooperative venture with the Texas Flying Legends Museum in Houston, each spring, the growing collection of WWII warbirds is flown from Texas to the Dakota Territory Air Museum where they are typically on display from mid-May through July.[citation needed]

The museum is continually looking to update its collection. An F-106 Delta Dart should be arriving soon to complete the fighters that served from the Minot Air Force Base.[citation needed]
