Daniel "Danny" Jacobs (born July 7, 1968) is an American actor, voice artist, and comedian, best known as the voice of King Julien on The Penguins of Madagascar, Merry Madagascar and the Netflix series All Hail King Julien (and his singing voice in Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted in the soundtrack), substituting for Sacha Baron Cohen. He even did an impression of Baron Cohen's character Borat in Epic Movie.

Early life
Jacobs was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is the sixth of seven children. He attended St. Matthew Elementary School, Bishop Gallagher High School (which later merged with St. Florian High School to become Trinity Catholic High School), Wayne State University and the University of Arizona (where he majored in musical theatre).

Career change
Jacobs was a seminarian for the Catholic priesthood – apparently at St. John's Seminary – in November 2013;[8] he presumably entered seminary before then.
