The Darzada tribe, also known as Darzadag, is one of the tribes of Baloch people. The largest population lives in Makran.
Description
These people originally inhabited of Makran. The word Darzada means "person who has the basic inhabitant of a place".
Other than Makran, they are also populated in other parts of Pakistani Balochistan, Iranian Balochistan, Sindh province of Pakistan, Arab countries mostly Gulf States, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt. Around 20000 Darzada people, currently inhabited in Saudi Arabia calling themselves Durzada, are also the same Darzada.
Notable
- Mir Shakeel Ahmed Baloch, a veteran political leader and a former member of the Pakistani parliament;
- Mr Shahdad Chahsary, who is a veteran Balochi poet and founded Ithad e Gareban party of Darzada caste in Makran.
- Mir Arif Baloch, winner of the best singing competition award of Balochistan; and Sabzal Samagi, a Balochi folk singer.
