David T. Gove (born May 4, 1978) is a retired American ice hockey player and current interim Head Coach of the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. [1] He last played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League during the 2008–09 season.

Undrafted, Gove played in two NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes over his professional career. He recorded an assist in his first NHL game. During the 2005–06 season, he made his debut in which the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup that season. He did not have his name engraved on the cup because he did not play in half of the regular season games or make a finals appearance, but was included in the Stanley Cup team picture and held the cup like the rest of the team.[2]
