Diganta Television (Bengali: দিগন্ত টেলিভিশন) is a private satellite TV channel in Bangladesh, founded in 2007. This is a project of Diganta Media Corporation, which also publishes a daily newspaper Daily Naya Diganta. Diganta TV formally started its broadcasting on 28 August 2008 with 16 hours of news and 8 hours of entertainment programs.

In 2012, Diganta began to broadcast all its content live-online to viewers around the globe through the website Viewers World.

Shutdown

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) shut down the channel on 6 May 2013 at about 4:30 am. According to Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, it was taken off the air because its reporting on clashes between Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and police contained irresponsible exaggerations and misinformation to inflame public opinion, a violation of the conditions of its license. As of February 24, 2016, the station was still off the air.
