Estadio Charrúa is a multi-use stadium in the Carrasco neighborhood of Montevideo, Uruguay used mostly for football and rugby union matches. It is currently leased to the Uruguayan Rugby Union, governing body of that sport in the country, which uses it for its headquarters, its high performance training center, and as the regular home of its national teams, most notably the senior men's team.[1] The stadium holds about 14,000 people. It was built in 1984 and then, in 2006 was re-built thanks to a FIFA project called GOAL.[2]
