Felipe Carsalade Araujo Pena is a Brazilian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner[1] and ADCC world champion.
Career
Pena, nicknamed Preguiça meaning "Sloth", is the only person to have twice defeated Gordon Ryan in competition. In 2021 Pena discussed making the transition to MMA and his goal to become a champion in that sport as well. On August 7th, 2022, in the 44th minute of the no time limit submission only match at WNO vs. Gordon Ryan, Pena forfeited. [2]
Pena has twice tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, in 2015[3] and 2022.[4] Both cases involved Pena being tested after participating in, and winning at, the IBJJF world championships in the previous year and being stripped of these titles.
