Gazzetta di Parma is an Italian language daily newspaper published in Parma, Italy. It is the oldest daily newspaper in the country.[1][2]

History and profile

Gazzetta di Parma was established as a weekly newspaper in 1735.[1][2][3] Early contributors included Giovanni Guareschi,[4] Giuseppe Verdi, Arturo Toscanini, Alberto Bevilacqua, Luca Goldoni[1] and Leonardo Sciasci.[5] The daily focuses on local news related to Parma.[6]

The circulation of Gazzetta di Parma was 43,000 copies in 2007.[7]
