Tyrone Eugene "Gene" Harris (born December 5, 1964 in Sebring, Florida) is a former Major League Baseball player who pitched in the major leagues from 1989-1995.

Early life
Harris was a 1982 graduate of Okeechobee High School. He later attended Tulane University where he played football as well as baseball.[1]
Career
During the 1994 season, an injured and ineffective Harris lost his closer role with the San Diego Padres to Trevor Hoffman in mid-April.[2]
