Gousto is a British Internet retailer, headquartered in Shepherds Bush, London. The company was founded by Timo Schmidt and James Carter[1] in June 2012.

Gousto offers recipe kit boxes which include fresh ingredients and step-by-step, chef-designed recipes. It has been voted best recipe kit service by the Independent,[2] the Guardian,[3] the Metro and Time Out London.[4]

The company won Retail Business of the Year at the 2015 Startups awards,[5] the Angel-VC Deal of the Year at the 2015 UK Business Angels Association Awards,[6] the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award (CEO and founder, Timo Schmidt) at the 2014 Great British Entrepreneur Awards,[7] and the Everline Future50 at the 2014 Real Business Awards.[8]

In August 2013, Gousto's co-founders appeared on the BBC's Dragons' Den.[9]
