Grace Virginia Lord

Grace Virginia Lord (c. 1834 – 1885), better known by the pen name of Virginia Champlin, was an American journalist and translator. She was noted for her English versions of French writers, such as Alphonse Daudet and Jules Verne. In 1885, Grace Virginia Lord was struck by a falling derrick and instantly killed.[1] She was buried at the Boston Common.
