Hailstone National Wildlife Refuge is in central Montana, United States and is an integral part of the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge Complex and is managed from the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge.[2][3] Hailstone NWR and is a waterfowl production area centered on 300-acre (120 ha) Hailstone Lake.[4] Hailstone NWR is 5 mi (8.0 km) northwest of Halfbreed Lake National Wildlife Refuge.
