The Indiana Legends were an ABA team from 2000 to 2002.

The team was founded by owner Joe Newman.[1] In 2000, the team played in Hinkle Fieldhouse and reached the semifinals in the playoffs, only to lose to the Detroit Dogs.[1]

The Legends fared worse in their second season. Early in the season there was a salary dispute between the team and the players, and then later in the season the team had to change their home venue to the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, followed by small community and high school gyms, such as the 750-seat Jay Community Center.[1][2] In 2000, the team played in Hinkle Fieldhouse and reached the semifinals in the playoffs, only to lose to the Detroit Dogs.[1] Their year ended by losing to the Las Vegas Slam in the ABA play-in game.[1]

Indiana ceased operations during the off-season of the 2002–2003 ABA season.[1] In 2013, they resumed play under the banner of the Community Basketball League.[2]
