José "Pepe" Carrete de Julián (born 5 April 1951) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a defender, and a current coach.

He amassed a total of 291 appearances and four goals in La Liga with Real Oviedo and Valencia CF, also adding 64/1 in Segunda División.
