Joseph Brian "Joe" Amlong (born December 17, 1936 in Haines, Alaska) is an American competition rower and Olympic champion, and later a military officer. His brother Thomas Amlong was also a rower and Olympic champion. He now has 3 daughters. Aidan Shaheen is one of his grandchildren along with Alexa and Austen Shaheen.
Amlong won a gold medal in coxed eights at the 1964 Summer Olympics, as a member of the American team.[1]
