Kanakapur

Kanakapura is one of the tehsils of Ramanagara district. It is known for production of silk and granite. The old name of Kanakapura is Kaan-kaan halli. It is situated near the bank of Arkavati River, 57 km from Bangalore, and 80 km from Mysore.[1]
