Katie Lou Samuelson is an American basketball player at the University of Connecticut.

High School

Prior to enrolling at UConn she played for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. She was the 2014 California Gatorade Player of the Year, one of three finalists for the 2014 Naismith Award as national Player of the Year, and a USA Today first-team All-American. In 2015, she was named to the Naismith High School and WBCA High School All-American first teams, was the USA Today All-USA California Player of the Year and a member of the USA Today All-USA and All-California first teams, was on the Consensus All-American first team, ans was the Gatorade California Player of the Year.[1]

College

Samuelson began playing at the University of Connecticut during the 2015–16 season. She broke her foot during the Final Four game against Oregon State and had to sit out during the National Championship game. She won a national championship led by Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson during her freshman year.
