Kevin Tapoko (born 13 April 1994) is a French professional footballer of Burkinabé descent who is currently playing for Mouscron-Péruwelz in the Belgian Pro League.
Club career
Tapoko initially started his footballing career with hometown club Stade Lavallois but moved on to Olympique Lyonnais where he would go on to spend two years as an academy player. In 2011, Tapoko transferred to Le Mans FC where he was able to feature for their reserve team however he left at the end of the season.[1] Following Le Mans, he moved abroad to Swiss Super League club FC Lausanne-Sport on a free transfer in August 2012.[2] He made his league debut for Lausanne-Sport on 16 March 2013 in a 3-1 away loss against FC St. Gallen, coming on as a substitute for the final 12 minutes. During the 2012–13 season, Tapoko also featured for the reserve team and went on trial with Watford in England's Championship. Eventually he signed for Belgian Second Division team Dessel Sport in the summer of 2013, where he stayed until early 2015 when he moved to OH Leuven. With OH Leuven, Tapoko enjoyed promotion to the Belgian Pro League, where he played less frequently. Near the end of December, Tapoko and OH Leuven mutually agreed to terminate their contract, allowing him to look for a new club as a free agent player.
International career
Tapoko was a France youth international, having previously competed at under-16 level. In 2010, he was part of the French under-16 team that played at the 2010 Montaigu Tournament, finishing in third place.
