Kinokawa (紀の川市 Kinokawa-shi?) is a city located in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.
As of April 30, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 67,835, with 25,607 households and a population density of 297.21 persons per km². The total area is 228.24 km².
The modern city of Kinokawa was established on November 11, 2005, from the merger of the towns of Kishigawa, Kokawa, Momoyama, Naga and Uchita (all from Naga District).
Kokawa Temple (Kokawa-ji) is famous for sightseeing site in Kinokawa.[citation needed]
