Fictional character biography

Korrek is a young warrior king of the extra-dimensional barbarian land of Katharta, and became the companion of the sorcerers Dakimh and Jennifer Kale.

Korrek and his warriors began to cross into other dimensions, due to a disturbance in various dimensions caused by a series of activities within the Man-Thing's Citrusville swamp and exacerbated by the demonic Thog.[volume & issue needed] Korrek emerged in a jar of peanut butter, partially consumed by Andy Kale, spread with a knife that became his sword.[volume & issue needed] Korrek encountered Jennifer Kale and the Man-Thing, and was transported to Earth when the dimensional imbalance grew stronger.[volume & issue needed] He joined with the Man-Thing, as well as Howard the Duck who was also brought to Earth due to the imbalance.[volume & issue needed] The odd trio was assaulted by a warrior force sent by the Congress of Realities until Dakimh the Enchanter banished the Congress.[volume & issue needed] Dakimh transported the trio to his castle where they were joined by Jennifer Kale.[volume & issue needed] The group traveled to Therea to prevent Thog and the Congress from overtaking that realm, and the Man-Thing was able to temporarily destroy Thog.[1]

Korrek then returned to Katharta.[volume & issue needed] Upon his return, he found that his father the king had been slain, and that a sorcerer named Klonus had taken over.[volume & issue needed] Klonus enslaved Korrek for a year, until Dakimh sent the Man-Thing to rescue him.[volume & issue needed] Dakimh, Jennifer, and the Man-Thing helped Korrek overthrow Klonus, though Dakimh was slain by Klonus during the battle.[volume & issue needed]

Korrek continued to be an ally to Jennifer Kale, the Man-Thing, and Howard the Duck on future adventures with them.[volume & issue needed]
