List of cultural heritage sites in Federally Administered Tribal Areas
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas, commonly known by its acronym FATA, is a group of semi-autonomous tribal areas in northwestern Pakistan, near the border of Afghanistan. The region comprises seven Agencies and six Frontier Regions, all directly governed by the Federal Government of Pakistan.
FATA is home to Khyber Pass, which is a historical mountain pass on the Silk Road connecting Pakistan and Afghanistan.[1] Ali Masjid, where the Battle of Ali Masjid took place is also located in the region. The present day Bajaur Agency was once the Scythian empire of Apraca and various archaeological sites are spread in the region.[2]
The following is an incomplete list of cultural heritage sites in FATA.
