Mahmoud Namjoo (Persian: محمود نامجو , born 22 Sep, 1918 Rasht - deceased 1990 Tehran) was an Iranian weightlifter and Olympic medalist. He was a representative for Iran in 1948 London, 1952 Helsinki, 1956 Melbourne, and the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo. In Melbourne, he lifted 25 kg above his personal record. A street has been named after him in Rasht.[1]
