Martina Moravcová (born 16 January 1976 in Piešťany, Trnava, Czechoslovakia) is a medley, butterfly and freestyle swimmer from Slovakia. She made her international swimming debut in 1991 for Czechoslovakia, and has gone on to compete in five consecutive Summer Olympics (1992–2008). She is a two-time Olympic silver medalist, both achieved at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. In the 100-meter butterfly, she finished second to Inge de Bruijn, and in the 200-meter freestyle, she finished eight one-hundredths of a second to home favorite Susie O'Neill. She is one of Slovakia's greatest female athletes, although she has lived in Dallas, TX, USA since she started attending Southern Methodist University in the mid-1990s.

Moravcová's autobiography was published in December 2003 in her home country, shortly before she was voted as the Slovakia’s Sports person of the Year for the sixth time since 1993. The title of her book is Martina s rodokmeňom Evy, which is loosely translated as Martina with the pedigree of Eva - Eva is the name of the old thermal swimming pool in the famous Piešťany Spa.

In 1999 she was named the NCAA's Women's Swimmer of the Year[1] In 2001, she was the top women's winner on FINA's World Cup series.[2]
