Mason Thames (/θeɪmz/,[2] born July 10, 2007) is an American actor. He played the lead role in the horror film The Black Phone (2021).[3]
Career
Thames was featured in three episodes of the first season of the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind in 2019.[4][citation needed]
Thames played the lead role in Scott Derrickson's horror film The Black Phone (2021),[5] alongside Ethan Hawke.[6][7] The role garnered him widespread acclaim, and the film received generally positive reviews from critics.[8] He is set to reprise his role in the sequel.[9] He also featured as a Young Walker in the first two seasons of Walker.[10][11] He starred in the 2024 high school comedy Incoming.[12]
Thames will next star alongside Mel Gibson in Monster Summer, an indie feature directed by David Henrie.[13] He will also star in a live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, alongside Nico Parker, who would be playing Astrid Hofferson.[14]
