Mesobola is a genus of fish in the family Cyprinidae, the carps and minnows. There are four species in the genus, all endemic to Africa. They are known commonly as neobolins.[1]
These fish live in freshwater systems such as rivers and reservoirs, where they form shoals.[1]

- Mesobola moeruensis (Boulenger, 1915)
- Mesobola spinifer (R. G. Bailey & Matthes, 1971) – Malagarasi sardine
