Mike Nearman is an American politician. He was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2014 after ousting incumbent Representative Jim Thompson in the Republican primary election. The Oregonian reported that Nearman was buoyed by conservative opposition to Thompson's moderate stances on social issues like same-sex marriage and abortion rights.[1]
