The Mount Nittany Medical Center is a hospital in State College, Pennsylvania. It is an acute-care facility offering medical, surgical, diagnostic and community services and is affiliated with the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The hospital is located adjacent to the Pennsylvania State University campus near Beaver Stadium, with a view of Mount Nittany to the Southeast.
The hospital opened at its current location in 1972 and has gone through several expansions since. The latest expansion, completed in 2010, was the addition of a new 52,000 square foot state-of-the-art east wing.
Additional capital improvements in progress include the expansion of the emergency department and a brand new comprehensive Cancer Center.
