Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Mulberry Downs Quarry is a disused opencast quarry, mining tin, in Cornwall, England, UK. The site is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), noted for its geological characteristics.[1]

History

The mine, known as Mulberry Hill Mine was in sporadic operation between 1859 and 1916, producing 1,350 long tons (1,370 t) of tin during its lifetime.[2]

Geography

The 3.2-hectare (7.9-acre) disused site, notified in 1973, is located within the civil parish of Lanivet, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south west of the town of Bodmin.[3][4]
