Olga Sharutenko (Russian: Ольга Шарутенко; born 1 April 1978)[1] is a Russian ice dancer. She competed with partner Dmitri Naumkin. After becoming the 1995 World Junior champions,[2] they turned senior and won the Nebelhorn Trophy in 1995 and 1997, the Karl Schäfer Memorial in 1996, and the Winter Universiade in 1997 and 1999.
Sharutenko began skating at age five and a half and taking ballet lessons from age six.[3] Her mother was a former figure skater.[4] Sharutenko skated with Naumkin for fifteen years, training twice daily, six days a week during their competitive career.[4][5] They competed together until 1999.
After retiring from competition, Sharutenko performed in shows with the Russian Ice Stars.[5] She joined the Imperial Ice Stars in 2003.[4] She has performed in Swan Lake on Ice,[3] Sleeping Beauty,[1] The Nutcracker,[4] and other ice shows.[6] Sharutenko has danced en pointe on ice.[7] She appeared in two editions of the ITV's Dancing on Ice, skating with John Barrowman in series 1 (2006) and with Keith Chegwin in series 8 (2013).[8][9]
