OnForce, is an online work platform and talent exchange that enables enterprise companies to search for, negotiate with, and engage directly with non-employee professionals. Based out of Lexington, Massachusetts, it is a division of Beeline, a business unit of Adecco Group.[1][2]

History

An online tech directory named ComputerRepair was introduced in February 2003, which evolved to transacting service events by 2004. In December 2005 the directory was renamed to OnForce. Around 2007 OnForce introduced PowerMatch, a bi-directional matching algorithm to find field service technicians. In May 2008 the company expanded to consumer electronics and introduced general contractor model in 2010. In May 2014, it released an industry-agnostic network for enterprises to engage, manage and pay independent professionals online.

Acquisition

In August 2014, Adecco Group, a Swiss multinational human resource consulting company acquired OnForce FMS and merged with its VMS company. In the agreement, Beeline agreed to partner with OnForce's freelance management software to give clients and partners access to the supply chain of the workforce.[2][3]
