Paris Laxmi was born in the South of France (16 July 1991 – Myriam Sophia Lakshmi Quinio) is a classically trained dancer and actress who primarily appears in Malayalam cinema.

Biography

Her father Yves Quinio is a drama artist and poet.Her mother Patricia Quinio is a sculptor. Her younger brother Theo – Q.Narayan, is a drummer in various styles and drums for Classical Orchestra, Jazz and also Indian drums like tablas and mridangam with the Mridangam Maestro Thiruvarur Bakthavathsalam.

From an artists and Mother India’s lovers family, Laxmi has grown along with art and Indian culture from her birth. On her very first years she expressed the desire of dancing, and never lost this passion for it. Laxmi and her family came in India for the first time when she was only five years old and that trip influenced all her life…

Dance career

Paris Laxmi has been trained in various dance styles from Europe: classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, Flamenco and Hip-hop from the age of five.[1]

She started her Bharata Natyam studies at nine under the teaching of the dancer Armelle Choquard ( disciple of V.S. Muthuswami Pillai and Dr. Sucheta Chapekar ) and then from the age of eleven with the dancer and choreographer Dominique Delorme ( disciple of V.S. Muthuswami Pillai and Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam ). She also went in India many times to learn from Dr. Sucheta Chapekar in Pune and in Padma Subrahmanyam’s Nrithyodaya school in Chennai.

Laxmi performed in various stages in France for festivals and private events. She also performed in India for many events, Natyanjali Festival 2010 in Chidambaram and Thiruvayaru Tamil Nadu, in the Mahadeva Temple of Vaikom, Udayanapuram Temple, Kidangoor Temple, Guruvayoor Temple, Kadhuturuthy Temple, Kerala…She performed a trio for the channel and news paper Manorama, for the Karshagasree with the great artists: Chenda player Mattannur Sankarankutty Marar and Tavil player Karunamoorthy in February 2011. She married the well known Kathakali artist Pallipuram Sunil and is settled and running an arts school "Kalashakthi school of arts"[2] in Vaikom,Kottayam,Kerala.

Filmography

Laxmi performed one song “Oh January” in the Malayalam movie “Big B” directed by Amal Neerad, starring Mammootty , Manoj K.Jayan and Bala.She is known for her role 'Michelle ' in Bangalore Days. She reprised the same role in its Tamil version too. She appeared in a cameo role in Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days. She also appeared in a malayalam movie titled salt mango tree in 2015.
