PEOPLES RADIO 91.6 FM is a 2nd generation FM station of Bangladesh. It started the commercial launching at 11 December 2011. Peoples Radio 91.6 FM is a Dhaka based 24-hour private FM radio station in Bangladesh.

Peoples Radio 91.6FM is among the beginners of this arena and only one of its type. From the very beginning, this radio is not only broadcasting entertainments but also valuing it’s of awareness developments to contribute optimistic moral thoughts and values among its listeners. Besides a wide range of collection of music and other entertainment programs, this radio is having significant number of production of Drama, talk shows, children programs, folk and heritage shows and so on. The investors and management of this radio is highly committed to responsibility towards country and its citizens, as well as the social developments besides the business. Mission of Peoples Radio:

Peoples Radio 91.6FM’s Mission is to serve as content based radio channel for the listeners, and to provide them a trusted source of infotainment, and actually to strengthen civic and cultural life of the communities we serve. We believe we have curious and thoughtful people among our listeners who have their own ways of optimism about serving the society and the world. A participatory radio channel can be a voice for community expression, and is a proven tool for movement-building and cultural expression. We may take the challenge to invigorate the optimist values by a deeper understanding and appreciations of events, ideas and culture surrounding us on this soil, so our mission stands as a materializing this opportunity to make it a better world.

To accomplish our mission, we produce and broadcast programs that meet the optimum standard of public service in cultural expression and journalism, participated by an efficient team that includes but not limited to broadcasters, presenters, producers, backup equipment and sound engineers as well as research and development professionals.

Network Coverage

Currently we are covering Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gajipur, Tangail, Manikganj, Narsindi, Faridpur, Shatiatpur . We are in a process of increasing our Network Coverage to all over Bangladesh, Our upcoming coverages from next year will be Chittagong, Cox’s Bazaar, Sylhet, Bogra, Khulna, Barisal and Rangpur.

Our Shows

• Culture Agriculture- Bangladesh is an agriculture based country. On behalf of peoples radio we encourage the improvement of agriculture and technology. We discuss on technological improvements and direct farmers how to get better crops from minimum investment and Farming techniques.
• Etihad Travelers Guide- Travelling is a very fascinating hobby; Bangladesh is also a great country with a lot of beauty and nature. On this show we travel all over the country and also on very appealing destinations all over the world. We guide our listeners with details of expense accommodation and travelling.
• House Number 916- We believe in entertainment and just not to entertain but also to reduce through music and light conversations. We also call listeners, talk with them live and play their requested songs. We also interact through light quiz and word puzzles.
• Shuprovat- Shuprovat wishes good morning to all listeners and features good habits, Interviews with joggers and people who exercise early at morning fitness aware listeners can get information about new exercises and food habits
• Take it easy- Take it easy as the names says is a show where we show people how to take things in life in an easy manner. Short solutions and awareness of prevention is our main target. We also have guests who interact about random trouble and how they “take it easy” and overcome the hurdles of life.
• Tech talk- The show is designed to entertain techno-geeks with information about new gadgets, features, games, software, apps and many more. First segment usually involves with introducing listeners to a new product to the market and its uses, USP, Comparison to the previous versions and similar tools. Second segment is where we reply to listeners messages provide them solutions to their problems and guide them through set up and installation processes. The third and last segment is where we spread awareness about usage of gadgets negative effects of certain tools, environmental advantages or disadvantages of certain products and also online security measures. Guests are featured at times. These guests are usually experts on IT, Gadgets or Cellular Smart Phones.
• Flop Show- We highlight the Flop generation and make them laugh at their failures to influence them to do better. The show is spontaneous and energetic with high energy with music that will make your feet jump of the ground.
• Moger Mulluk (মগের মুল্লুক)- The show targets fun loving people who love to hangout spend time with friends and need refreshment from everyday life. The show basically use humor to satirically portray current situations solve problems and also entertain through humorous messages.
• সহজ মানুষ- সহজ মানুষ, translate into simple person which represent someone who is uncomplicated. They're grateful for the little things in life. They don't try to impress, they're humble. They know what really matters and what doesn't. A Simple person is usually of the highest intellect, great character, experienced, and wise. A simple person has a heart of gold. A simple person knows their time is short, so they'll spend every breathing second to make the best of it, they contribute to society from their small place in it and promote humanitarianism and stretch out their hands to those who need it and from their small position do wonders we can not think of. People’s radio 91.6fm believes that these simple people need to get exposure and appreciation for their contribution to society. Our show is a dedication to all simple people who are working hard to create a difference.
• Get Set Go- An early morning refreshment every weekend. On this show we share an overall view of the whole weekend and inspire people to get ready for the coming week. We also share information about coming events and interact with listeners.
• Mystery unsolved- Fear is an interesting phenomenon. People love to listen furious things. They love to know about mysterious facts. So our motto is to attract people and a huge number of listeners group who are fond of that. our show mystery unsolved is quite different then other gothic show. Here the host talks about mysterious place. We played a segment called 5 minute scream and another segment is black zone.
• Sports Unlimited- It is a pure sports related program, reaching to every recognized sport in Bangladesh. We provide reliable sport analysis, history, Players Biography and also score updates. Guests are often invited; guests are from sports background or involved with sports activities.
