Philiform was a construction toy similar to Lego, made by Philips from 1969 until 1972. Many Philiform sets involve intricate construction and mechanisms that predate Lego's Technic line by several years. Despite sharing the same construction premise, Philiform and Lego bricks are not compatible with each other.
