Ramanthapur is a neighbourhood of Hyderabad, located in the Indian state of Telangana. It lies between Uppal and Amberpet, on the road from Uppal to Kachiguda.
Development
A number of companies and government facilities are located in this area, and there is also a large housing development. Institutions there include CFSL Hyderabad, Central Detective Training School, Government Homoeopathy college and Government Polytechnic college. A Doordarshan TV studio is also located in Ramanthapur.
Transport
Ramanthapur lies on the Warangal Highway. The Metro Rail approaches the Uppal ring road and the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, and a new station is being built near Nagole. Ramanthapur has three TSRTC bus stops about 1 km apart: one at the TV Studio, a second at the petrol bunk and a third at Hyderabad Public School / Andhra Bank. There are also buses from Secunderabad at regular intervals which travel as far as RTC Colony.
