Sindewahi is a city and tehsil (an administrative center) in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, India. Notable villages in this tehsil are Ladbori and Ramala. Nagpur, the nearest large city, is about 130 kilometres (81 mi) away.

Description

The first Rice Research Center was established in Sindewahi, where various researchers work to discover new rice varieties. Gram Sewak Training Center is also in Sindewahi, one of only two in Maharashtra (the other is in Pune). Ghodazari Talaw and Asolamenda Talaw are picnic areas near Sindewahi. Asola Mendha is one of the biggest reservoirs in Maharashtra. Sindewahi City is surrounded by a forest in which tigers and other wild animals can be found. Ram Mandir is the oldest temple of sindewahi City near by wholesale market is situated.

Transport

Sindewahi has a railway station on the Gondia - Chandrapur route. It is also connected to Mul, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara, Nagbhid, and Brahmapuri CHIMUR,RAJURA,KORPANA, WARORA,WARDHA,GADCHIROLI by MSRTC buses and also connected to Hyderabad by APSRTC.
