Sun Xueling (simplified Chinese: 孙雪玲; traditional Chinese: 孫雪玲; pinyin: Sūn Xuě Líng; born 1979) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the country's governing People's Action Party (PAP), she has been serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency since September 2015.

Education
Sun graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Upper Honours) in Economics.[2] She also completed her Master of Science in International Political Economy with Merit in 2003 from the London School of Economics and Political Science.[3][4]
Career
Sun joined the Economic Development Board of Singapore in 2003 before joining Development Bank of Singapore as an assistant vice-president. She was also senior vice-president in Macquarie Capital Securities HK and director of Deutsche Bank Hong Kong.[5] Sun serves on the Temasek Holdings board as an investment director since June 2014, and is also the chief executive officer of non-profit organisation Business China.[6][7] In her corporate role, her focus areas include looking for companies that create value and are growing.[3]
Political career
Before 2015, Sun is a long-time grassroots volunteer in the Women's Wing of the People's Action Party at Buona Vista,[2] and is an advocate of women and mothers' rights.[3][8][9][10] She was also the assistant secretary of the Youth Sub-Committee of the Buona Vista CCC in 2004 and assistant secretary of the Buona Vista CCC in 2006.[5]
In 2015, the People's Action Party (PAP) announced that Sun would contest in the Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency during the 2015 general election[11] after being introduced during a tree planting event.[12] She now serves as member of parliament for Punggol[13][14] West. Sun also serves as the North East District Adviser in Singapore,[15] and as deputy chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Communications and Information.[16]

Personal life
Sun is married with a daughter.[17] Her hobbies may include reading and swimming.[2]
